ProFlex Media is a Birmingham-based equipment hire company specialising in professional camera, sound and lighting kit for filmmakers, photographers, podcasters and production crews.
We started because good kit shouldn't require a studio budget, and because too much perfectly good gear sits in cases earning nothing. That's why ProFlex has two doors: one for creatives who need kit by the day, and one for people who already own kit and want it working. Every item in our inventory is hand-picked, professionally maintained and insured under Hiscox policy #15683524. Before every handover, each piece is checked, charged and tested — so it works when you need it to.
We operate through Hygglo, which means payments, deposits and protection are handled by a platform that specialises in peer-to-peer equipment hire. You get the security of a marketplace with the personal service of a local kit house — our first hire left a 5.0★ review.
Whether you need a single lens for a weekend or a full cinema rig for a production, we'll get you sorted. Same-day replies, a handover point you choose and lock, and kit that's ready when you are.
Every item is power-tested, cleaned and batteries fully charged before handover. No surprises on set.
Hiscox cover up to £20,000 on our kit, plus Hygglo's platform guarantee. Exact cover for each item is shown on its Hygglo listing.
Booking requests get a response within 24 hours — usually the same day. We know shoots don't wait.
Choose a point in Birmingham and lock it — the same point is used for collection and return. No couriers, no waiting.
Browse the kit, pick your dates, and we'll get you shooting.
