Hire terms
Straightforward.
Fair. Insured.
We keep it simple. Hygglo handles payment and the lender guarantee. We handle the kit,
the check-in and the handover. Everything below applies to every hire.
Booking & Payment
- All bookings are made through Hygglo.
- Payment is collected by Hygglo at the time of booking.
- We confirm availability within 24 hours (usually same day).
- Multi-day and weekly hires are discounted automatically.
Deposit & Insurance
- Hygglo holds a refundable security deposit for each hire.
- Our own kit is insured under Hiscox Policy #15683524 (up to £20,000).
- Hygglo's Lender Guarantee covers theft and accidental damage on every hire.
- Intentional damage or loss voids coverage — you're liable for the full value.
Handover

Collection from the handover point you choose —
pick and lock a point in Birmingham.
- The point you lock is the point you return to — one place for both.
- Exact address or meet-up details are shared in your booking thread.
- Every item is checked, charged and tested before handover.
- You sign a condition record (with photos) at collection.
Return
- Return by the agreed time on the final day of hire.
- Late returns incur an additional day rate unless agreed in advance.
- We inspect every item on return and release the deposit once cleared.
- Any damage is reported with evidence and handled via Hygglo.
Cancellation
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the hire start.
- Within 48 hours: 50% of the hire fee is charged.
- No-shows: the full hire fee is charged.
- Extenuating circumstances — just ask, we're reasonable.
Condition Grades
- A+ — Mint, as new or barely used.
- A — Excellent, minimal signs of use.
- B — Good, fully functional with light wear.
- Every listing's grade is shown on its Hygglo page.
Fine print (the important bits)

Kit must not be sub-hired, lent or used by anyone not named on the booking.

Airborne use (drones) requires a valid CAA Operator ID and Flyer ID. We'll check.

Overseas use is not permitted unless agreed in writing before the hire starts.

By booking on Hygglo you accept Hygglo's terms in addition to these.
Owner & partner terms

Listing your kit with ProFlex is a bailment, not a sale — you keep
ownership throughout.

ProFlex takes a fixed 36% of the hire price (the 20% Hygglo platform
fee is charged first). You keep 55% of the net hire fee.

Your share is paid monthly in arrears once a payout account is
connected.

Every item is photographed and condition-recorded at handover and at return — both
ways, so any damage conversation starts from evidence.

You can withdraw your kit on notice. Nothing is locked in and nothing is sold.

Cover for owner-held kit is being confirmed with our broker. Nothing is collected
until cover and terms are agreed with you in writing.
